Problem
Recruiters had no way to reach candidates through text messaging within the platform.
SMS has become the preferred method of communication, especially during the interview process, yet recruiters were limited to email which proved ineffective for certain roles and industries. Candidates in fields like retail, hospitality, and hourly positions rarely check their inboxes and need immediate communication. Without SMS capability, recruiters faced delays in responses, missed opportunities for real-time adjustments, and an inability to answer time-sensitive questions quickly.

Solution
A centralized SMS inbox that integrates Google phone numbers so recruiters can keep personal phones separate while managing all candidate conversations in one platform.
The design includes both a collapsed version for quick access and an extended "80% view" for detailed messaging, allowing flexibility based on workflow needs. Key features include bulk texting for multi-candidate outreach, thread search for finding past conversations, integration with our Chrome extension ReachOut for in-workflow messaging, and "Quick Text" options in empty states for consistent message crafting.
